Refocusing the
directory
Although the OCBN attempts to list all businesses on the
Oregon coast, it is not a phone book - we're not trying to
compete with the big guys. The purpose of the OCBN is to
promote its members, basically by providing "bait," being
the listing of all businesses. To that end, you'll notice on
the community pages that the general listings are a small
font, and the member/premium listings are bigger. Also,
instead of providing a link via category, we're listing them
alphabetically, with their banner. Links go directly to the
members' web sites. We're hoping that will make access to
the members a lot less cumbersome for you.

We're now
listing phone numbers! I resisted doing this for a long time, for
several reasons. But since so many businesses either don't have Web sites,
or I haven't been able to find them, phone numbers are the next best thing.
Look for them next to business names!
