The Next Phase: Phone Numbers |
|
 We
cannot live by Web alone...yet!
I dug in my heels about this for a long
time, but as I use the pages myself, I
finally had to admit that the addition of
phone numbers to the business listings would
be very beneficial.
I hope you find them useful too! After all,
many businesses don't have any type of
internet presence yet (more on that in our
next newsletter).
This process will be never-ending; let me
know if there's a telephone number you'd
like to see added right away, and I'll make
it a priority. |

Aquarium's Web site is
quite attractive, and they wisely
update it regularly;
that's important for getting
visitors to return time and time
again. It's also easy to navigate.

attention to it to save embarrassment,
frustration of your customers, and potential
loss of prospects.

 If
we have a pic of the storefront, we put a thumbnail
next to the business name which links to the
full-size photo Send yours in today!
 If
a business provides wi-fi access to the internet,
we'll put this symbol next to their name on their
community page.
 If
a business is conservation-oriented, we'll put this
symbol next to their name.
Community
Features
The OCBN isn't a substitute for
the phone book. We don't list addresses - we
wouldn't be able to keep up! Ours is a
"home-grown," mind-based approach - we don't use
databases for our pages. When we have a link to
a Web site and/or phone number, we put them up -
for free!
We are always looking for ways
to solidify the "community-ness" of our site. If
you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear
